Bucket Elevator for Cement & Bulk Powder

Overview

Bucket elevators are widely used to vertically lift powder, granular and small bulk materials such as cement, clinker, fly ash, limestone, minerals and aggregates. Their sealed casings, wear-resistant buckets and high-strength belts or chains ensure reliable conveying with minimal power consumption and reduced material spillage.

Designed for industrial applications, LVRUI bucket elevators deliver stable operation, low noise and long service life, meeting the requirements of cement plants, grinding units and bulk material processing lines.

Bucket elevator maintenance platform showing inspection and service access for industrial vertical lift systems

LVRUI

Maintenance platform and access doors for bucket elevators, allowing easy inspection, repair, and safe operation in cement, bulk powder, and mineral processing plants.

Working Principle

Material enters the inlet hopper at the boot section and is taken up by moving buckets. The filled buckets are lifted to the head pulley, where the material is discharged into chutes by centrifugal or gravity discharge methods while the empty buckets return downward in a sealed casing.

FAQs About Bucket Elevator for Cement & Powder Materials

What materials can a bucket elevator handle?

Bucket elevators handle a wide range of bulk materials, including cement, clinker, fly ash, limestone, minerals, sand, and granular powders. They are suitable for both fine powders and small lump materials used in cement plants, mineral processing lines, and bulk powder handling facilities.

What is the difference between belt bucket elevator and chain bucket elevator?

Belt bucket elevators: Suitable for lighter materials and medium lifting heights. They offer lower noise and energy consumption.
Chain bucket elevators: Designed for heavy-duty applications, high temperatures, and abrasive materials like clinker or limestone.
The choice depends on material characteristics, lifting height, and operational conditions.

Can bucket elevators be integrated with other conveying equipment?

Yes. This type of elevator can be seamlessly integrated with air slide conveyors, screw conveyors, and bulk loading systems to form a complete bulk material handling line for cement plants and industrial powder processing.

Are bucket elevators suitable for high-temperature materials?

For high-temperature materials like clinker, chain-type bucket elevators with heat-resistant buckets and casings are recommended. Custom designs are available based on material temperature, capacity, and plant requirements.

What capacity and lifting height can be customized?

All key parameters—including bucket type, capacity, lifting height, and drive configuration—can be fully customized according to project requirements, silo height, and production capacity.
